This is a trek that takes us to one of the biggest glacial lake in Nepal, Tsho Rolpa Lake at an altitude of 4580 meters above the sea level. The route is located in Rolwaling valley in Dolakha district between the very famous trekking region of Everest and Langtang. Despite of being alongside these two popular routes, Tsho Rolpa trek has yet to welcome a lot of trekkers unlike her neighbors. Rolwalling valley is also a border between Nepal and Tibet where Gaurishankar Himal (7134m) and Melungtse (7023m) stands in between these two nations. Because of its far flung section of the Himalaya this trek will be moderately difficult. Throughout the trek one can get to observe the number of mountain peaks above 6000 and 7000 meters some of which are Gaurishankar Himal, Melungtse and most of the peaks of Langtang and Everest region. Along with that learning a great deal of about the cultures and traditions of ethnic groups of Tamang, Sherpa and Brahmins are also the highlighted feature of this trek.

Jagat to Simigaun (2036m)

Trekking time: 4 to 5 hrs

Our trekking day starts as of today and the trail takes us down to Gongar River. We cross the river using suspension bridge and along the partly cultivated and partly jungle path, come across a waterfall on the way. We will trek down to a Sherpa village called Chhetchet where from an uphill walk will lead us to Simigaun. We can have a beautiful view of Gaurishankar Himal from there.

Simigaun to Cyalche (2800m)

Trekking time: 6 hrs

Today we have to trek on a slightly elevated hill upwards while walking amidst a serene rhododendron forest all the way up to Cyalche.

Trekking time: 6 to 7 hrs

The first part will make us descend to Dongang and keep moving along Rolwaling river while having to get across it for twice and find ourselves at Thangthing Kharka where we can find teahouse but might remain closed due to its isolated reason. We will find beautiful waterfall on the way and can get to see very beautiful sceneries around if weather clears. Now trek up to Chimu followed by Beding within a reach of 4 hours.
