This is a trek that takes us to one of the
biggest glacial lake in Nepal, Tsho Rolpa Lake at an altitude of 4580 meters
above the sea level. The route is located in Rolwaling valley in Dolakha
district between the very famous trekking region of Everest and Langtang.
Despite of being alongside these two popular routes, Tsho Rolpa trek has yet to
welcome a lot of trekkers unlike her neighbors. Rolwalling valley is also a
border between Nepal and Tibet where Gaurishankar Himal (7134m) and Melungtse
(7023m) stands in between these two nations. Because of its far flung section
of the Himalaya this trek will be moderately difficult. Throughout the trek one
can get to observe the number of mountain peaks above 6000 and 7000 meters some
of which are Gaurishankar Himal, Melungtse and most of the peaks of Langtang
and Everest region. Along with that learning a great deal of about the cultures
and traditions of ethnic groups of Tamang, Sherpa and Brahmins are also the
highlighted feature of this trek.
