This trek offer spectacular mountain scenery. It is extremely diverse in culture and land which makes it a very famous region in Nepal. The trail follows north of the main Himalayan range to the dry Tibetan-like trans-Himalaya. It is enjoyable and requires no technical knowledge.
This is an ‘all seasons’ trek. The Thorong La pass is becoming easier to cross every year due to new developments. The trail can be walked in both directions but counter clockwise is best due to the steepness of the track. If you like physical activity in the outdoors, the Annapurna circuit can be a colourful, challenging experience.

Due to being cut off from the full effect of the monsoon, the upper valley route is very dry. The people herd yaks and raise crops for part of the year and enjoy special trading rights. We’ll have the choice between two trails that both meet up in Mungji (3480m). The southern route by Hongde (3420m) involves less climbing and the northern route by Ghyaru offers beautiful views and follows along the northern bank of the river. When we reach the connection of the two trails, it will guide us to the hidden village of Braga (3500m) and nearby village of Manang.
